    This is the Faculty Information Guide for the CTE Center.
  • Teachers will learn how to use Interwrite Workspace to enrich instruction. This blended learning course will take place mostly online but will culminate with a face-to-face meeting in March.
  • Throughout the year, students will use Maya 3D software to focus on both the artistic side of creation and the technical skills of production in individual and group projects. Students will explore the history of animation, animation principles, and character development.

  • This course is designed as a continuation of the student's skills and previous knowledge from DGA and Animation One.  Working with the 3D Maya software, students will create Jumbotron Animations along with various animation shorts throughout the year.  Students will also serve as moderators on the Animation Forums and help DGA and Animation One students problem solve as they begin to work with the Maya software.
  • Digital Graphics and Animation and Animation One Students can use this forums site to post questions about Photoshop, Flash or Maya software. Animation Two students at the CTE Center will be answering the questions posted.
  • This course studies the history and philosophy of criminal justice and its ethical considerations; crime is defined, its nature and impact are explored; plus an overview of the criminal justice system; law enforcement and the court systems; a study of prosecution and defense; also trial processes and corrections and penal systems.

  • This course is designed to give students an overview and history of careers in the field of Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security. Areas of study include but are not limited to corrections services, security and protective services, law enforcement services and legal services. A job-shadowing component is included, and this course gives the student a strong foundation for the Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security pathways
